About Us
Building a custom home takes more than skill—it takes trust, leadership, and the right person guiding the process from start to finish. At Tim Lichty Construction Inc., we believe clients should feel confident in who they’re working with before ever picking up the phone. That’s why I’d like to share a little about who I am and the journey that brought me here.
My Story
I was born in 1965 in Orange County, California, and moved to Reno, Nevada at the age of 11. I attended Wooster High School, where I played both baseball and football, before continuing my baseball career at Moorpark Community College and Fresno State while studying Construction Management. I later transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno for my senior year, where I was selected in the Major League Baseball Draft three times and met my wife, Anne.
When my baseball career came to an end, I began working for a custom home builder in Reno at the age of 23. Construction quickly became a passion, and I spent four years learning every step of building a custom home with precision and care. I built my first custom home shortly after, then worked multiple construction roles simultaneously—handling framing and foundations by day and finish work by night—to gain as much hands-on experience as possible.
After earning my contractor’s license, my business grew quickly. I built several spec homes and soon found myself managing multiple large custom homes at once. During this time, Anne and I started our family and welcomed three children: Timmy, Tommy, and Alexa.

Where We Are Today
Today, Tim Lichty Construction Inc. is truly a family-driven business. I am honored to work alongside my grown son, Timmy, who has followed in my footsteps and is learning every aspect of the construction process. Sharing the business with him has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
I am also grateful to work side by side with my wife, Anne, whose experience and dedication continue to strengthen our company. In addition, Anne and our daughter, Alexa, now work together as real estate agents, while our middle son, Tommy, has pursued a career in architecture. Together, our family’s combined experience in construction, real estate, and design allows us to offer clients a well-rounded perspective and a truly collaborative approach to building.
